Maronica Brown
Assistant Principal
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Rappahannock High School. My name is Maronica Brown, and I am thrilled to join such a dynamic and dedicated school community. I grew up in the Northern Neck, graduating from Westmoreland High School (formerly Washington & Lee) in Montross. I taught in Henrico County Public Schools before returning to the area to teach at Essex High School in Tappahannock. My experience in education includes such roles as a Business & Marketing Teacher, Career & Technical Education Testing Coordinator, Leadership Team Member, Distributive Education & Student Council Association Advisor, and Electives Team Lead. I have always been passionate about fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students. I currently hold a Masters in Education and a Certification in PK-12 Administration & Supervision.
At Rappahannock High School, my primary goal is to support our principal, staff, students, and parents in continuing the tradition of excellence. I am committed to:
● Promoting a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
● Collaborating with teachers to enhance instructional practices and ensure high-quality education for all students.
● Engaging with parents and the community to build strong partnerships that support student achievement and well-being.
I am eager to meet and work with each of you. I believe that open communication and collaboration are key to our success, and I welcome your ideas, feedback, and involvement in our school activities.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or just to say hello. Together, I am confident that we will make this school year a remarkable one.
